I'm glad at least to see that they are talking of gene clusters and not a single gene. That should take some of the heat out of the "simple blood test and insurers magically disappear" syndrome.

Of course there's a link between BP and Schizophrenia and I bet there's a link to Alzheimers and Dutch Elm Disease, too!

I was dx schizophrenic first..apparently extreme mania & schizophrenia are pretty similar, despite what people think, been told that many times.

& I mean, it's not uncommon with people with BP in their family aslo to have relatives who are schizoaffective..maybe it's just a big ol' spectrum *shrug*

I agree with Lou (I'm still stalking you). Its a fine line between manic psychosis and schizophrenia. Did I spell that right? Hmm

I think there will be a link in the neuron patterns of the brain. Mapping in a functional MRI of people who are experiencing psychosis will lead to new treatments.

I also think a study of proteins could lead to a better drug.

    Wow, it's the middle of the week already!Today is our 11 year anniversary, so we're going out to a nice dinner.  I'm losing a lot of sleep these days, hence a wonky schedule and uncomfortable feelings.  But I know it will pass, eventually.I hope all of you have a peaceful day, and may good things come your way!
