I know that you need to have more than 2 'personalities' to have DID (dissociate identity disorder), but I feel like there are 2 sides in me that are always clashing with each other. Is this a normal thing for bi-polar?

I find myself going places in the car and not wanting to get out of the car. I come back home and I don't want to get out of the car. I think it's the only time I spend reflecting. Chronic tiredness from Long Covid plus the immunosupressing meds for my Crohn's is slowing me down but everything just seems a massive effort. I am dealing with the paperwork following my father's death but it's not...

Wow, it's the middle of the week already!Today is our 11 year anniversary, so we're going out to a nice dinner. I'm losing a lot of sleep these days, hence a wonky schedule and uncomfortable feelings. But I know it will pass, eventually.I hope all of you have a peaceful day, and may good things come your way!

So as for me, my brain just is not staying in a peaceful state. Not only am I having issues to the who am I, but also to the what am I supposed to do.
My life went through varying stages, holding onto to diffrent goals and beliefs. Add bi-polar into the mix, and my past is strewn with discord.
All of this stuff causes personality clashes within me. So for me, I am having great difficulty in deciding which me is me.
Do I hold to the Christian beliefs I once held, or the beliefs I now hold? Am I the wild crazy party gut I once was, or the relaxed totally chilled non-drinker I became for a time? And etc...etc....etc.....
The way you explain it, you just seem to be going through what I am going through, an identity crisis. Since I am in the midst of one myself, I do not have much answers. I am trying to figure it out. My past, however strewn with much failure also produced much good.
I think I need to write down on some paper, goals I want to acheive and why. Furthermore, attributes I want to have and why. Maybe that will quell my discontent a bit, and hopefully show me a direction with reason......Otherwise, I just do not know!
Reed, what you talk about sounds more like a personality disorder thing. You may need more than 2 personas to be DID (I don't know) but that doesn't mean there are not other personality disorders that don't have multiple personas
