Letters to family

I was pretty low yesterday and thought about what I would write in a suicide letter to my two children. I decided to do the opposite. I wrote a letter saying why I go on everyday and fight this illness. It was so important for me to write that letter so when I have bad days to look back on and remind me why I need to keep living.

I think that is a wonderful way to look at our struggle Hapa

I have come to work very hard to see my suicidal thoughts as simply a symptom.... and it's hard when these thoughts are storming in however it's worked pretty well for me

If they become overwhelming I know that I need to see my doctor.... Thoughts don't equal action

My first therapist made me do this for myself years ago. She said in a good day write a letter to myself to read in a bad day about all the reasons I want to live. I haven’t looked at it in over a year though. Great idea

    Today mom and I are taking Moo and Copper to the vet for vaccines.  I'm watching a movie having coffee while copper snoozes in between my knees.  What does Thursday look like for you?

    Does anyone here have a comfort item you carry with you when you go out? For example this is my doll, Annie, and I've recently been bringing her with me when I run errrands flor have an appointment. Holding her comforts me. I've bought her clothes, crocheted for her, I recently bought a personalized blanket with her name on it.  Just wondering if anyone else has a comfort item.
