I have tried to get off of Lamictal before. I had been on 400mg for 7yrs. I went completely out of my mind for a year. So I had to go back to the full dose. I'm tired of not having my brain, the tickling in my arms and legs, the hair loss....I really just want to know who I'am without it.

Has anyone successfully come off of Lamictal?

I'm on Lamictal, but only 100mg and I want to get off of it. I don't know if it is even working anymore. Did you ween yourself slowly off the 700mg. I am tired of meds period and I'm cutting down tomorrow to 50mg for two weeks then 25 and hopefully none.

My sister came off of 150 mg cold turkey. She was really sick for about 4 months. Her mind still blanks out sometimes and she gets tremors. I think I just have to accept that this is the way things are.

I was on it a month - got the rash, stopped cold turkey - was sickly for two days, then I took a couple a day just to stop the withdraw...

I was fine in less than a week... not the same high dosage, or length, they say ween, to not have that sickly feelings - other than that, no problems....

Good luck, changing meds is rough - you are changing? or thinking of going to none? Because trying to go off meds, when your in a bad place, kind of a bipolar thing! LOL

I have been on the lamictal for about a year am I just stuck staying on it or what the hell. This is freaking me out I swear.

You are only on 100mg. It shouldn't take to long to get out of your system. If I had known how hard was going to be to get off of I never would of taken it. It has helped, but I'm up to 500mg now.
What the hell will happen to me when it stops working. I'm scared.

I only take 25mgs.. thats all I can handle.

Can I ask why you want to come off it. My pdoc just increased mine to 200 mg and I feel better. She also increased my trazodone to 100 mg and prozac to 40 mg.
