Well, I was going to say "no" about the hair loss on Lamictal until you mentioned hair loss around the temple area. The loss there is minimal for me but I thought it was due to getting older. Ha!!!

As much as I hate that I could be losing my hair, I love the stability I have gained with the Lamictal. I don't think I want to trade it. I have been on just about every med made and I have been stable the longest on Lamictal. I actually have a life on it.

Now, Lithium was a different story. I lost lots of hair with it and although I felt it was working, I was foggy headed and not very motivated.

Sometimes we just have to weigh our options and go with what works best........xo

I have been fairly stable with Lamictal as well. Anyway, much better with it than I was without it.

I am not sure that my hairloss is from a med or from my condition.

I feel so sick in so many ways. Someone wake me up from this nightmare.

Yep it sure does but fortunately I have thick hair. There is a website called swanson vitamins and they have shampoo with biotin and also have fish oils and it might help with the hair loss. Oh and shampoo with keratin.

yes..I did loose quite a bit of hair..on top in front, and on the sides, AND YES it does grow back. within a week of being off the med, my hair started growing back.

Oh man! I am so glad to hear it grows back.

I just got off of it. I don't know what I am going to try next, but I am glad to be getting off of this.

Not lamictal, but when I tool lithium, my mair fell out in clumps. My primary care physician said it was cuz I am getting older. I said,"Bullshit, it;s the lamictal. by the way I;m 42.

Yep my hair fell out a lot and thinned out a lot when I was on it both times, and both times I quit taking it because of hair loss. I also switched shampoo and conditioners to Garnier Triple Nutrition and it is helping a lot!

I lost a lot of hair for months when i started lamictal. Globs of it fell out. But once i got adjusted to it then it pretty much stopped coming out.

Yes, I have permanent hair thinning from a high does of Lamictal and can't take it anymore due to other side effects. One thing that may help restore or prevent hair loss is a 1/2 and 1/2 mixture of castor oil and grape seed oil applied to scalp for 30 minutes twice a week. I was reading about it the other day.

Been on Lithium for 26 yrs and there is not much if my hair left that I once had. Its now thin and short. Age hasnt helped either lol

I was loosing my hair like crazy and didn't know why? Now from reading all this I realize that it was all during the years that I took Lamictal, when I went off it my hair did start growing back in and I have about 2 and half inches of new hair now.
