Ok, so I have another diagnosis to go with my collection. I now have conversion disorder. I have stroke-like symptoms. I originally lost balance completely, had partial paralysis, vision problems, overwhelming dizziness, and loss of clear speech. My ability to think clearly is impaired and my short-term memory is shot.

It is not a stroke. A week after the event, I can walk, the dizziness is gone, I can move. But I still get shakes, my thinking is still screwed up and I sound like I am three sheets to the wind.

I start seeing a new p-doc, the one who diagnosed me, on Monday, and finally get back in therapy starting Thursday.

So far, no word of how long it will last, although the average quoted is 2 weeks to years. And it usually comes back.

Fun, huh?

Anybody else have this? Or more info?
