Part V... I mentioned a couple of posts ago that Maria's New Zealand Visa got denied and because of thist I thought her Australian Visa would also. I had made plans to visit the Philippines thinking this may mean a long term arrangement. I could tell Maria was not in a good state of mind and I wanted to be there for her after she got rejected from the New Zealand Immigration, so I felt an urgency to be with her and not just wait around for the decision of the Australian Immigration. This indeed helped her and she has been in good spirits since.
Maria has a strong faith and was questioning what God's real plan was. She mentioned that maybe it was for me to be reunited with my Kiwi Family and for me to start a life here in New Zealand. I didn't believe this for I know what I want, and more than anything that is to be by Maria's side no matter where we are. The only thing I know right now is that I love Maria with all my heart, and this has given me purpose and all I have been trying to do is create some sort of future with her, but it did seem to be against us, well so I thought.
It was good timing that after Maria's New Zealand visa got denied she had already planned to go on holiday with her workmates to various beaches and islands around the Philippines, away from the hustle and bustle of Manila. This is the first time she had this sort of experience, and although she said she missed me, I know it gave her a chance to recharge the batteries and give her some peace of mind for a while.
I myself have made plans whilst I am here in New Zealand where I have caught with family and met my former boxing coach. Tomorrow I head down south where I will catch up with my Aunt and then go to my Nan and Pop's grave to pay my respects. Its a shame I never got to know my grandparents, but I have heard many stories about them over the years and remember corresponding with Nan through letters before she passed in the mid 90's.
Last Saturday when Maria got back from her holidays, about 3 weeks premature to when I thought we would find out a decision from the Australian Immigration, they had called Maria finalizing a few details before sending her an email of their final decision regarding the Australian Visa Application. Maria contacted me saying she was nervous and once again went to church before she opened her email. She was not getting good internet coverage so the communication between us was intermittent.
I couldn't wait so I signed into her email and I checked for myself. I wasn't positive at all and was looking for the word "declined". I had to read it twice before it sank in that her Australian Visa application was "Granted". I was so excited and was trying to contact Maria, but I couldn't get through to her. I had to wait for half an hour before I could talk to her. I tried telling her that she was accepted, but just like me she couldn't believe it and had to read it for herself. She said she would wait til she got home before she read the email herself. This was frustrating me for I had been giving up smoking and my adrenaline was pumping through my veins. I rang Mum and Dad and they were over the moon and very happy for us. I tried getting in contact with Maria again but once again she had no coverage.
I couldn't handle the suspense and the excitement and wanted to get through to Maria that she was successful. I gave into my cravings and bought myself a pack of cigarettes to help me calm down, just over 36 hours since I had my last cigarette.
Finally Maria gets home and reads the email. She was in tears of joy. Maria's prayers had finally been answered.
Today is our 6 monthsarry and things are looking really good for us. I have made arrangements to be in the Philippines in about 3 weeks where I have arranged accommodation for us. We will be staying there for 2 months before we both fly home to Australia to live with Mum and Dad until we get on our feet and start our new life together, hopefully never to be apart for this length of time again.

Guys I'm so scared. Dr lowered my Zyprexa last month and I've been slipping into mania since last Tuesday. People are noticing my odd behaviors especially at work. I see my psychiatrist on Thursday and I'm afraid if I tell him he will increase the Zyprexa. I just really need some support here.

Well, Tuesday was pure hell. Dad yelled at me very disrespectfully. I'm stuck living at home with no way out. Most of the time I want to be here but with dad being off work and under a lot of stress, it's hard to be here. Mom says he's always like this when he's stressed but that's stilll no excuse to treat me poorly. Yesterday I slept all day until 3. Dad was ok. The rain is keeping him from...
