Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.
Whatever anyone thinks of your decision, even me, doesn't really matter. Do what you need to do in order to stay healthy and cope with what you described as 'failure' in the most productive way possible.
It's after the fact. The family gathering is over. All you have now is how you remember feeling, what you remember saying, and what you remember doing. Families are tricky and complicated sometimes. If you want a guaranteed good time, I'd be all over the community dinner idea. There are community dinners at Christmas time so if the family thing is giving you fits, that's always an option.
