Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.
I do find many on here are very helpful.
The ups and downs are just so hard to deal with. I guess I'm a rapid cycler.
Talk A LOT!!There is always someone here to support you.Add me as a friend if u want!!LOL- u are not alone
I have very little support at home. I have very little family............. no brothers or sisters............. just my mom........... and two grown children. My mom is supportive when she's in the mood, but mainly she tells me she should've known better than to have children since this illness goes back in her family 2 generations. Great mom!
My son who is 28 is into his own thing. He is finally just now coming to terms that he too is bipolar. I can only hope that he will get the help he needs now.
My daughter who is 24 and still, for the moment, lives at home with me is probably most supportive although not in a bipolar sense as she never says it. She is my motivator a lot of times. Makes me get up and do things. But she works full time and goes to school full time so not here a lot.
So I come here and bug people ............ so you're not alone! Add me to your friends list, or PM me or whatever. You truly are not alone HERE.
I feel more lonely tonight because I asked my b/f if he wanted to hear some of my journals I've been writing, but have said were private.
His response was "I don't know", so I took that as a no.
My mom is useless for support and I cut off contact from my dad at Christmas and my only brother has distance himself from family. I don't have many friends anymore either.
Frodo: What are we holding onto, Sam?
Sam: That there's some good in this world, Mr. Frodo... and it's worth fighting for.
We are all truly alone and death is our only refuge. I am sorry, but I feel the end and it is near. wish I could be more comforting.
I go to other bp meetings
Go to church volunteer at soup line
do the next right thing
stay away from alchol and drugs
eat good and excersize.
And above all else take my meds as prescribed.
