Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.

Invega did give me a bit of a mood swing at first, but after the first month it was better.
I found that when I got really pissy for no reason I could talk myself out of it by reminding myself it wasn't ME it was the Meds.
Trileptal is really good at controlling my mania. The upped dose should take effect in a day or so- just be patient. (easier said than done when we're manic, right?) Trileptal, if I recall correctly, is fast acting as far as meds go so you'll be feeling better soon.
From another angle tho...
My therapist says that Rage has a scale. First you get hurt and don't work through it. Then you add on more hurt and you get angry. Then anger builds up into rage.
So maybe go and do an inventory on how you were hurt and work through that to help stop the rage.
Personally my rage was from abuse and abandonment from my childhood. It took a while to get through and work out all of that crap people did to me- but it REALLY helped control my anger. My rages are much shorter now and GASP! I actually have a long fuse these days.
I definitely feel you on the rage issues- they're awful and yet addictive. Then after you rage you feel like the world's biggest jerk. It's a hard cycle to deal with.
