Hello; I'm Louis Russo. I am bipolar with underlying symptoms of multiple personalities and BPD a fear of abandonment that's led me to the brink of panic and suicide too often in my life.
Theater arts allowed me to scrape through when otherwise I might not have checked out. My first suicide attempt was when I was sixteen. Just a bit of backround. I've performed for millions of people around the world, network tV, with many superstars and under various names; Russ Lewis, Russo Louis, Lou Albert Russo.
Through God's grace, providence, the creator, whatever language you wish to choose, I managed to create my duality into an art form, double personality, as a one man twosome. You'll be among the few who know the drive that created what you will see if you see me perform for Cajun comic Relief at. Youtube.com/russocomedy...as a double personality, a comic ventriloquist. I made my living this way for many years.
For too long I've been ashamed and remained quiet about my disorder. After many years I must still manage them daily. I have accepted that I will do so to my last breath. The difference is now, where once I could not, accept this and even benefit from the acceptance and move ever closer towards healing.
Thus I introduce myself to this group. Art intervention is not always easy, sometimes seems impossible, but you must already know that.
Analysis and judgments I leave that to the doctors. Instead I approach my symptoms as well as my art through description. I search for spirituality and of course humor if appropriate.
Lastly, as I conclude this let me express my gratitude for this forum in allowing me to tell the truth about myself as I see it without fear of abandonment and in the hope of understanding.
I look forward to reading your words, hearing you describe your gains and setbacks. Please know, I've been to the highs of Oz and the lows Dante described so well in his Divine Comedy.
I will hear your voice loud and clear. Finally: I like this saying by Gandhi, "You must become the change you wish to see in the world."
Best wishes everybody...never give up!

I find myself going places in the car and not wanting to get out of the car. I come back home and I don't want to get out of the car. I think it's the only time I spend reflecting. Chronic tiredness from Long Covid plus the immunosupressing meds for my Crohn's is slowing me down but everything just seems a massive effort. I am dealing with the paperwork following my father's death but it's not...
