Hello all, I'm newly diagnosed Bipolar 1 and hoping to give and get support here. 

Quick background, I was diagnosed last month after what turned out to be a 3 month manic episode (at the time I thought I was just going through a midlife crisis and finally 'doing what I wanted' ) I wanted out of my marriage, acted out sexually, had zero conscious and no interest in my house or kids. I was delusional and it terrifies and embarasses me when i think about it now. People thought I had gone crazy and I guess I did. I finally decided I really was acting like a lunatic and reached out to a counselor who suspected bipolar and my family Dr referred me to my now pdoc. I started on abilify and it made me feel like I was coming out of my skin and made me feel really irrirable and rage-y. Geodon saved me from myself, it brought me out of my mania but the drowsiness is terrible. I started adding Trileptal today. My current state is 'unspecified' but I'm definitely  feeling anxious and depressed, especially over the things I did and the way I behaved while manic. Coming back to earth isn't easy. 

I'm early into the journey and confused and still trying to figure this all out. I'd love to get to know some of you and I appreciate all of your feedback and advice.
