hi, i get this too. i literally have zero patience with anyone who is not feeling as good as me, who's not going fast enough. or fun enough or just plain miserable. it's good that you've noticed this so that you can try and be more self aware next time and its good that you've apologized and i guess there is no excuse it's just something set off by our hypo/mania that we can't really reel in until we've totally made a disaster. a few years ago i left DS during a hypo/manic stage (i suspect in retrospect at the time i was just feelin good) and i told my entire friends list to get a backbone and stop living with their illnesses. then i promtly left. to return a few months later with my tail between my legs feeling suicidal and like a mess, barely human.
it's weird how we totally depersonalize from depression when we are manic, its just hit me now actually the down side to being up is that you never think about the coming plummet.

I have in the past been not only insensitive but downright mean and nasty when in a mixed episode. Mine seem to come from imagined slights.

When I am hypomanic I get insensitive, and far more hateful of people. That mixed with a lack of self control so I verbalize everything that comes into mind.

So on one hand I am far more outgoing, but on the other I am the biggest jerk.

I'm sorry...I kinda almost laughed...a bipolar person, telling someone to SNAP OUT OF IT...yeah we do that .

Not a fault, it's a human thing.

when i do that it is very humbling and it reminds me of how it really is for our family and friends when they are intolerant w me.recently my sister who i live dearly was going through emergency surgery alone in florida no ins no money and she was calling me all day and night.i was trying to help her over the phone but she never did what "I" thought she should do.she just wanted to rant.but bc my live was falling apart i began to become very intolerant and almost didnt want to answer the phone when she called.well her world was falling apart her husband of 20plus years left her for another woman took her 16yo son to ny left her w the house that was in foreclosure no money no car and left. than she had to have surgery.how selfish could i be...i felt so bad.her 14 yo got caught drinking it was such a mess.i realized that when i was sick i never got what i needed so i was taking it out on her.and there is nothing more hateful.

Mush, One of the first signs that I'm going into a mania is when no one talks fast enough and everyone seems to be moving at a snails pace, at that point I start getting agitated which occasionally turns to violence then the downward spiral. Mixed episodes are what really confuse me, they leave me wondering where the hell I'm at.
I haven't had a nice productive hypomania in forever so I guess I wanted to be selfish and protect that.
