I went off my meds (bad idea)

I went off my medications on March 20th. I was still depressed but it was more of my external circumstances that were bothering me. I made a huge mistake by stopping the four medications that I was on-cold turkey all at once. I think i didnt feel it so dramatically at first but i was in bed for about a month decompensating and showering once a week and brushing my teeth every few days and eating very unhealthy. Anyway I am paying for it now as my legs are weak and i started taking my med on 4/24 and my OCD is very very bad at the moment. I have trouble leaving the house and I am very paranoid. My doctor is coming to visit me. I have an Act team. I have massive headaches. And my body hurts so much.

I take 4 kinds of meds too. I missed some doses and I felt so sick.
I don't like having to take meds, but they do help my bipolar
symptoms. Love, heathercliff

Going off meds without the docs help isn't a good thing.
I tried it once and got bad results.
Now I am off of the one that made me a bit heavier and also didn't do much to begin with. Soon we are starting another one. Not certain what it will be but getting off the one was slow process.
I did get sick and tired. Now just tired more than before.
There are more symptoms that my doc is going to hear about on Monday. I wish you luck!!!

I am glad u have an ACT team they are normally very supportive people :) Extremely caring and just very concerned about your well being. I know quitting meds cold turkey is horrible and if it is anything like I had it I know how you feel and I really messed myself up. I majorly relapsed and a just now getting better after a year of living hell. I could not leave the house not even to grocery shop and definitley not to go out to eat or to a movie. My life was abnormal and hellish for me and my husband both for months. It will get better trust me. The paranoia was so bad with me I was even driving my family nuts. I was certain people were purposely trying to make my life difficult and that people were talking about me behind my back and I was mad at them for it and hostile toward them and they probably were not even talking about me. The shower and brush teeth thing and bad eating, I done it all. When you feel like you are merely existing it really sucks and I just took a shower because I started feeling so youcky I wanted to crawl outta my own skin and I brushed my teeth because I could taste my own stink breath so I know how you feel. McDonalds was my best friend at the time too. I would just send my hubby down there and also Taco Bell. My legs were weak too when I quit my meds and even taking a shower really left me feeling exhausted and I tell everyone this but I felt as if my head was in the attic and my body in the basement, just completely detached. It is a horrid feeling to have. I hope things get better for you soon :) (((((BIG HUGS)))))
