I keep having these bouts of being up for 3 to 4 days at a time. A while back I decreased my lithium to reduce some of the side effects. I think I may have destabilized myself. Like currently I have been up for 3 and 1/2 days now and I'm constantly busy writing software or some other form of computer configuration. Seems to be the only thing that I'm interested in.,
But here's the delema. These are bursts of genius where I do extrodinary things, that I couldn't figure out later. Like I just wrote in 3 days an entire object oriented printing imaging system on the mainframe to which generates about 200,000 reports a day. I saved the company like 150,000 dollars I mean it is awesome. If I was on a higher dose of lithium this would never be possible. Lithium destroys my brain and makes me depressed and stupid. I buess the short of it is that I need my highs. God made me this way why should I try to change it through loads of pyschotropic meds. however there is that degree where things start coming in to fast and I can't concentrate or even form a inteligable sentence and this is when my lovely wife usually sends me off to the hospital
OMG I think it has been even longer, I have been working on this program non stop since Monday. No sleep up all night cranking out code.
So do I live with the mania a productivity or dose my self into dumbness.Just so I won't get manic. I mean there are lots of examples of people like genius work from time to time. Mozart is one person I can think of.
I'm a loser on lithium No need to respond I'm just venting.

Once again I've had a fever today. I'm not going to the hospital because that's a huge waste of time but I did schedule a dr appointment for Wednesday afternoon.

Companies have very short memories and prefer steady people generally. I've been close to ending my career several times and without doubt I would have probably got further if I wasn't some inconsistent.
I know it seems cruel to extinguish such creativity as I know in hypomania and whilst at times I am having the time of my life my partner and family are hating every minute of it and are talking hospital while I trip the light fantatic.
If you are at this point thinking this yourself without prompting from your wife maybe it is time to slightly increase the dosage without the whole hulabaloo of hospital being brought into the equation.
