Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.
Relationships are complicated ..... especially now when it seems like everyone is competing to have the most fabulous life, gossip is considered a talent, and everything gets put on blast via FB.
You're so lucky to have a great, supportive family. Rely on them and be a little cautious with friends. I wouldn't divulge my dirt to friends and it isn't a requirement for having a friendship.
Take care!
When you said "divulge dirt" isn't a requirement . i'll have to remember that. Thank you :)
Is there some volunteer work near you that you might be interested in doing? I am finding success with that in the sense that I am connecting with people (and getting out of the house), but I don't have to tell them a thing about having bipolar. All I have to do is show up, do my work, smile, and then leave. I NEVER talk about my personal life.
I plan to work as hard as I can to keep myself distracted! Thanks for the wonderful advice
Do u have a family you can trust your secrets to? Mine is my mom. I'm lucky to have her. I only tell my husband what I think he needs to know. You cant trust everything to everybody.
I hope school and your birthday are great. Take care of yourself.

Thank you for your advice. I shouldn't be so off-put with people at my young age, but I can't help t think they will betray me, or act indifferent. My trust in people wanes every year. I have my grandparents, and sisters to count on. I almost pushed my 18 year old sister away when I was first diagnosed. But now I can count on her. I even told her about my hallucinations, and she cried with me.
Same goes for cussing you out.
Only experience, the hard sort...can help you to learn who is a real friend and who isn't.
Be thankful to God that you have a family that is good. That is rare these days.
Hope you are getting sleep and feeling better.

He is not a real friend. He just uses me to vent; and when I USED(I've learned since then) he would interrupt me with something insignifcant.
I thank God everyday for blessing me with a good family.I realize that is not always so for most people.
Thank you for your reply
