Try finding out about teaching clinics. They're sometimes affiliated with hospitals or university's. I went to one for a while and they charged based on how much I made.

Yeah, just call. I don't know who you'd want to talk to. Maybe someone in admissions or billing?

All schools have either a health center and/or offer low cost insurance for students. You also may qualify for medicaid as your income is probably low as I am student and poor now too. Go to your local social services office and apply for health ins. In NY they even have a buy in program for all income levels. good luck

Many schools offer health insurance for graduate students. Check that out first.

There are low cost clinics with phys. and therapist, should be one in your area. As for meds, if you contact the pharmaceutical company that makes the meds you are taking , they can send you a form for free or low cost if you qualify. Or you can go on the pharmaceutical companys' website and download the forms and see what you may be entitled to.

Why not wait the 6 months it takes to get disability. You automatically get Medicare and if low income, you also get medicaid. then, you have no co-pays, no in/out of network doctors, and best of all: no referrals necessary.

So right now I'm working full time...I spoke with my Pdoc about this and he does not advise me making any of these changes. I'm scared. How do I get this started!? And since I am working full time with a three year old and going to school full time how do I find time to do this research? I wish I had someone that could do it for me!
