I don't know if my bipolar is causing it, or my meds. I can't remember things that I've done and I am very forgetful. For example, my friends and I went to a fair last year. I don't remeber it even happening! My bff and my husband were talking to me about it and I couldn't even remember going, let alone any of the details! It was like it never happened!

I find myself going places in the car and not wanting to get out of the car. I come back home and I don't want to get out of the car. I think it's the only time I spend reflecting. Chronic tiredness from Long Covid plus the immunosupressing meds for my Crohn's is slowing me down but everything just seems a massive effort. I am dealing with the paperwork following my father's death but it's not...

Wow, it's the middle of the week already!Today is our 11 year anniversary, so we're going out to a nice dinner. I'm losing a lot of sleep these days, hence a wonky schedule and uncomfortable feelings. But I know it will pass, eventually.I hope all of you have a peaceful day, and may good things come your way!

Meds ,and the nature of the bipolar progression, will cause memeory loss,as will depression
At the risk of starting a whole new discussion.....Omega3 has gone a long way to help restore my short term memory and overall mental sharpness. I've been taking it for about 3 months now and have noticed a major improvement. Please note, I don't take it to treat symptoms, just for the memory benefits.
The other thing I hate is the sense of depersonaliztion in my memories. It's like they happened to someone else. I know I did and experienced certain things, but it's like they happened to a complete stranger. I have no "emotional" memories. It's like watching a movie.
I was told when i was 13 i was bipolar. They put me on 12 different meds.
I didn't notice really, Untill i was 18 i started having some longterm memory loss.
Couldn't remember things i did with family. Family memories everyone seem to share. I somehow lacked.
Things i did with child-hood friends.
I finally sat down one night. And tried to see what actually i did remember.
And i seem to have 4-5 years of absolute nothingness. Like, i totally disapeared all together.
And i actually never thought it was meds.
i was hit by a car when i was 10. But, the missingness Didn't really take place untill i was about 14-16 yrs old.
I recall- bits of 17-18... Not awhole lot. But, alittle.
So, the meds makes alot of sense.
Does anyone know what kind of meds cause this? Is it able to be re-discovered?
How would depression cause this? Any-research studies on any of this?
For me, i know
ECT
i was bad before but now omg
I think you should go Young and get it checked out it doesnt sound so good
you have a bf AND a husband, you lucky thing you!!
Yeah my memory is shot too. No clear answer to why? Meds? BP or BPD? Don't know.
