I just had dialysis

Ihad it because of the lithium I had been taking for so long. My psychiatric nurse practitioner is looking for alternative treatments for me.  I can never take lithium again.


If I knew then what I know now, I would of tried a different treatment.


Now I am tired, anxiety ridden and dizzy.  Dialysis is a rough treatment.


Please take care of yourself so you won't have to go through what I did.

I have a winter dosage and a spring one. The winter is 900mg and spring is 600mg. I took it for 20 years.

I'm so very sorry to hear about Dialysis. Does this mean you will permanently be on Dialysis?

And I hope that the antidepressant change is going better.

Wow Jenn, I'm really sorry to read this. Way Way back I was on lithium for 10 years. My psy Never Told Me To Drink Water! No doubt this damaged my two kidneys somewhat.

You might if you've never been on it trying lamictal....I was on that for years too and it doesn't do damage to kidneys.

I'm really sorry, Jennifers. My late girlfriend had this. I had my late FIL go through it he did better.

I was on 1200 for a few months gave me psoriasis and a wicked tremor can't take it either my white blood count is too high who knew

shoot. im on 900mg daily. will talk to my dr. lithium has been my miracle

    Once again I've had a fever today. I'm not going to the hospital because that's a huge waste of time but I did schedule a dr appointment for Wednesday afternoon.
