Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.

Life is painful either way, hence why I stay away from people because they just don't get it! They see you smile they think you're happy. They see you dress nice and look better physically than them and they think you're all good, better, and well off. But they don't know the TRUTH.
It's for the same reason I stay away from people because most are living a lie and under false pretenses. It's hard to connect with another at an emotional level if you know what I mean JENN, and when you're thrown into switching meds, it's like life becomes even more taxing and harder because it messes with what you already know what can work and what has been working until you realize it's no longer working.
The mood stability comes with sedation but even that comes at a cost (more than a quarter). There's a price one pays for all unnecessary yet necessary drama just to be alive.
To answer your question, do moods go up and down during medication changes? They sure do.
Heck, moods go up and down without them, and it takes a lot for a person to be still when you want to strike!
So yes expect moods to change with Meds.
Are you seeing your doc through this time?
Im not sure how long you've been working with the new med?
Are you doing other things to help you sweetie?
Sun, exercize, msybe a gratitude journal etc
I find it's more than one thing even though the right medication is huge
Have you ever tried cognitive therapy?
That to could be a big help
Big hug..xo
