Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.

I have days that I love where I'm happy and filled with joy, loving life and loving my family then there's days like the last couple days where I'm completely bummed. I feel like crying, all I want to do is lay in bed curled up in a ball or sitting under the shower just letting the water run over me, I'm more sensitive to my husbands tone and he's being harsh on me about my ocd and telling me to use my coping skills and asking what I did how was it productive and I explained to him and told him I did use my coping skills like self affirmation and breathing while counting. Once I told him how I really felt he said he was sorry and gave me a hug and explaied that he was just trying to help. But I feel like I've been a mess the last couple days, my mind wont shut off and my anxiety is high I've been shaking so bad and it's followed by the drepression.

Once again I've had a fever today. I'm not going to the hospital because that's a huge waste of time but I did schedule a dr appointment for Wednesday afternoon.

We have issues, we know this, it's in our brains 24/7, we don't forget, we constantly think and worry about how to fix/adjust and what we might be screwing up when we're not fixing or adjusting. Having someone constantly talking "at us" about what we need to do tends to make things worse.
Having someone calmly talk "to us" to ask if we need support, if we're okay, tends to minimize the angst and anger and irritability and work more in favor of helping us be better.
I personally get very irritated when my S.O. "overhelps" me when I'm not coping as well as I could be. So he's gotten his head bit off enough that now he just slips me a little note that simply says, "i'm here, if you need me, let me know". It gives me back the control of my situation, because I do not like to not be in control. And I have major Issues with Men taking control from me. Saves a lot of frustration on my part and a lot of silly fussing between us that doesn't need to happen.
I try never to give into the Depression because the Suicidal Depression is the Major Component of my BiPolar Disorder, so even letting it get its foot in the door is not a choice for me. If I feel it coming on, I do whatever I have to, to keep it at bay....for me that usually means bury myself in work and Volunteer work. The busier I keep my brain the easier it is to keep the Depression out.
We have BiPolar, we're not always going to be able to do some magic coping skill or technique that's going to make it all better and life easier, its just what it is. My oldest son actually turns the OCD into a game at times to lessen the stress, he'll go through the living room and my office and move things, just a 1/4 inch here and a 1/2 inch turn there, but I notice when my things are moved, so then I run around straightening things and hitting him with a rolled up newspaper or flyswatter...I yelp at him, he laughs, we laugh, it breaks the stress.
About your son messing with your stuff thats too funny. I'm glad you can laugh at it
I have a history of self harm also and I think the Depression for us can just be a very dangerous place to let our heads go...it doesn't take much for it to take over.
I hope you find some solutions to help you live a bit easier soon.
