I was laid off about a month ago. I have slowly been slipping into a depression. For a while I was okay and I was actually kind of happy about the whole thing is I was relieved. I work at a job for a company that robbed me of my self-esteem and my well-being. I don't miss the job. I miss the structure of working. I don't do well when I don't have structure or enough to do. To top it off, I am now sick with pneumonia. I just feel overwhelmed by the whole thing. I didn't ask to be put in thissituation. I feel like a loser. Like I said, I don't miss my old job or my coworkers. They made me crazy. I just want. I just want to feel like a productive member of society. I guess the only good thing about this is that I was approved for Medicaid. It is awesome insurance. It makes me feel bad for the amount of money that I had to pay out for medical care that I had at my old job. I had a $5000 deductible. Iwas responsible for approximately $3000 per year for health care. So I know that they did me a huge favor. It just still hurts. I feel lost. Like I have no purpose. I just don't know what to do with myself. I can feel my depression flaring up. I think that when I got laid offI was manic at the time. Because I actually have the energy to totally clean my apartment and purge things that I didn't need. But I'm slowly coming back the other way to where I'm starting to feel depressed and hopeless.
