Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.
I've been medicated for over 7 years now and so far, my experience has been that most meds work for a while and then quit working and I have to move on to something else.
Sleep I've got pretty much whipped and I'm very grateful for that!!!
But everything else requires regular tweaking.
Do you feel the effectiveness ebbing away or do you drop straight from 'doing fine' to 'can't function'?
If you feel it 'coming on' but you're still not 'at your worst', maybe getting a med tweak sooner than you usually choose to could keep you from going so far down.
That's about the best I can do for myself.
Try to nip it in the bud.
But I'm pretty much resigned to the fact that I may always need to be a tweaker.
Good luck.
You shouldn't have to feel this crummy so much of the time!!!!
I hope you find a way that will have you feeling better!!!
(((((Hugs)))))
Otherwise they will think you are having no problems.
All the best, the only way to advance is to keep kicking them up the jaxy over it
I know I shouldn't be posting this, but I'm just fed up with it all myself.
But it's been tested a lot and never shows up that anything is wrong with it.
