Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.

I'm taking the meds i'm prescribed. I went away to treatment for a while, and when i got home i was told to just make my appointments, and stay busy and be productive and so on. Recently i've been up either reading stuff or watching stuff and not going to sleep until about four in the morning. I couldn't sleep last night so i was going through reddit in hopes of finding someone to talk to. The only person i've been talking to is this woman i've been seeing on and off for the past two years, and i just feel like i'm good for her when she wants to get off and other than that if i talk about my issues or how i'm feeling it just gets awkward. She doesn't understand, and she shouldn't have to if she doesn't suffer from this disorder. I guess what i'm trying to say is i feel alone... After going on a manic episode, i do this thing where i get stuck in my own self pity and i literally can't even cry. I'm beyond crying, i just want this all to stop.

Once again I've had a fever today. I'm not going to the hospital because that's a huge waste of time but I did schedule a dr appointment for Wednesday afternoon.

I've had to force myself into public places like the library, and more recently, the gym and yoga. Physical activity was always my weak point, and in many ways still is. I used to think I was being active by watching and reading too, but that's not what's meant when you're told to be active. My meds work better and I feel better with activity. You will find a place, just relax and look around. Getting out of my self-mentally-and-physically-destructive comfort zone opened me up to all sorts of rejection and judging. Just don't worry about those small things. More people are accepting than you'll believe, some of them might want to make new friends. I find it gets more fun each time I meet someone new or learn something new about someone I already know.
Make yourself live
Isolation is a major issue in my personal baggage car. I believe I isolate even more when I am with people than I do when I am alone. At least I can let my guard down when I am alone. I have done enough therapy work to understanding how the isolation effects my emotional stability, but I have yet to hurdle that gap between understanding and doing something about it. Sigh. Works in progress. . . Hope healing happens here.
Don't know if that has anything to do with this post, or not. Guess I just needed to talk about it. Mostly just wanted to welcome you to the forum.
I know it may feel like no one cares, but I can assure you that the folks in this group do, because we live with bipolar every day. You're not alone. Please keep posting, and let us support you through this tough time. Hang in there!
My negativity was killing me. My self loathing was more damaging than anything, and I'm still in a struggle with that, but I push on. Other people seem to be enjoying life out there. Why not you? My choosing to be stationary made my depression much worse. Get out there and live! I don't know you but I believe in you
