I can't make myself study and I have an exam in a few hours. I can't make myself focus on work even though we're working with a tight deadline. I can't make myself show up on time for exec meetings though we have a lot of very important things to discuss. I just don't want to try anymore. I want to let myself go and just free fall, let the wind move me how ever it wishes. I'm just sitting here wanting to cry more than I want to study and the idea of failing which usually gets me to snap out of my 'mood' is not helping. Now I'm asking myself so what. So what if I fail, so what if I quit my job, so what if I leave my boyfriend, so what if I leave my club, so what if I resign from all my positions, so what if I drop out of school. Sigh. And the answer is always so nothing. Can I just drop out of life for a week? Can I just not do anything, make any decisions, feel or be empty for just one fucking week?

Sometimes it's the best thing to do. Mentally and emotionally exhausted I have taken several days "off". Time to recharge and reenergize. I think it helps a lot.

Sometimes the best thing we can do for ourselves is to take a break, lighten the load. It sounds like you need a break. Can you take a leave of absence from school?

Too late in the year for that. Mid-semester break is almost here, I can try to take a break then

Are you safe right now? I read your journal (and commented), and then this, so I'm wondering how much of a crisis you're in now. It sounds like you need something to happen right now.

You sound exhausted. I would tell my advisor what you told us and say you need a short stay in the hospital or at home to rest up for a while. You might need to have your meds tweeked as well.

Not the least bit safe. I think I'll try to make it to my exam and maybe just heading to the hospital or something. I'm sitting with razors and pills daring myself not to. Sigh.

I completely agree with bbipolar. And I think you know it's time to go to the hospital. Don't worry about the exam, hon. Just go get rest, maybe some new meds, and be safe.

It does sound like you need a break.not a permanent one by the way. Going to the hospital I think would help you right now. Don't listen to the pills and razors, they don't care about you but the people here do and we want to see you safe. School, work and everything else can wait.

YES, Check yourself into a hospital and just forget about work and school right now. You have the rest of your life for that but right now you need to get into a better head space. BIG HUGS!!

Sorry you have to eventually

I'm going to try to stick it out until my appt tomorrow and talk it through with my doc. I think I might go ahead with being hospitalized but I still want to talk to him first.

Be safe! Come here and post if you need our support; you know we're here for you.

I know and thank you. Made it through my exam, doubt I passed but I made it. Yaay?

Let work and school take a back seat for a bit and it definitely sounds like a hospital stay would be helpful. Put the razors and pills away and take care of you! You sounds totally exhausted and you need to take a break....big hugs.
