And now I'm not only regretting it but am pretty scared too.
There's a guy I've spoke to online for a while and when I was really ill he asked for my address to call an ambulance on my behalf. Not thinking that he could use this against me ever I gave it to him.
Tonight I received a message off him saying that I should move in with him and leave my husband on Sept 1. I've never met him and don't believe I've ever led him on in anyway other than perhaps when I've been ill and said something off the cuff.
When I told him I wouldn't be leaving my husband he said that tomorrow he will drive to my house and confront my husband.
Now I don;'t know if he's serious or not but I'm pretty scared. I don't know what to do about it. I've spoken to my husband and he thinks I'm too forthcoming giving out details online, Now that's all good and well saying that now but what do I do if this delusioal man turns up at my house?

If he turns up dont answer the door, Are you close to any of your neighbours? Maybe explain to them and have them keep an eye out

I don't really want to tell my neighbours, I mean they think I'm crazy enough as it is. Where I live there's no way of checking who's at the door without actually going to the door and it's made of frosted glass so he'd see me through it.

Can you call the police and make them aware of the situation ahead of time so that if you have to call them, if and when this man shows up, they know to get to your home ASAP?! Maybe they would also patrol your home periodically? I know that the police would do that here. I've had to have it done myself. Good luck. So sorry you're in this situation.

Thanks for the advice Jen, I'm unsure if the police would do anything as he isn't threatening towards me or anything, he just believes we're in a 'relationship' of some sort. Wouldn't it just go down as domestic?

Have you told him not to come to your home? Have you told him you're not interested? Yet he still insists? Sounds kind of threatening to me. I would definitely at least ask the police about it. Couldn't hurt.

I'm trying to be nice to him without hurting his feelings, he always talks to me when I'm in bad place, even harrasing me by phone when I was sick in hospital. I think I'll call the local police in the morning thanks again Jen

I agree with jen, I would call the police and let them know what is happening. I am not sure how things work there, but here the police have to help. I would also consider a no contact order incase the guy gets a little out of control. I know how scary these things can be. I had to move a couple of time because of an ex. I hope things work out for you, please stay safe and good luck. Let us know everything is O.K.

If he shows up say wait a minute, from inside with the door closed (and locked), and then call the cops.

Thank you all for your replies, I sent him a message telling him I'd spoken to my husband and we'd advice him not to come. I told him that I was unwell and didn't need any extra stress, My husband and I are going to call the police station in the morning for advice

Look out peep hole and if u think its him dail 911 and tell the police what is going on.

I dont even go outside w/o my cell ph in my clothing pocket.

Do not give out person info on the net.
Nuts out number the sane.

Hopefully he is just blowing smoke to get a reaction out of you and to keep you contacting him.

Change your ID on what ever site you shared personal info on.

This is a very serious offence , its called stalking and you u need to take steps 2 protect your loved ones by contacting police immediatly, and allways have a plan in place for your own saftey, i wish you all the best that the bastard will b caught for his black mailing behaviour and you remain safe.

Don't take this the wrong way because I'm not trying to be rude. You should also be careful of what kind of avatar pic you put up b/c certain shots attract the wrong kinds of guys. OH HELL, I had up a head shot with just my face and it STILL attracted all kinds of creeps. That's why I won't put up my real pic as my avatar, and I only have it visible to friends periodically in my photos.
