I have been hearing voices, outside my body, for about 3 years now. They have subsided for the most part. It was hard/difficult for a while because they were making me laugh. Good grief, I have friends who I see occasionally but I have never laughed as hard as I have for the past 3 years. Someone above definitely has a sense of humor. Gosh, I was laughing hard. But, I don't want to live like that so I have built up a high tolerance and figured out that all I need to do is focus and ignore them. I know some of you might not agree with smoking, but smoking cigarettes really helps me. I see 2 therapists, and what happened to create my Bipolar Disorder was a rape situation by a bartender that happened when I was 19 years old. I had a major emotional breakdown in the summer of 2001. I have been slowly but surely climbing up through therapy, medication and trying to stay active. I cannot tell you how important sleep is to me. Sleep is the #1 factor, I believe, for anyone going through a hard and difficult time to heal. Not too much sleep they say. But I love sleep so any I can get does me well.
