Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.
Can you call your doc or therapist? This is not something to ignore. I can see you're looking at life from a depressed standpoint.
What are your options? Should you go to a phosp? Don't sit in this mood swing, it will just get worse. You can't talk your way out of it.
Depression if left too long is a killer.
Please call doc/therapist and see if you can get an appointment.
I think the hardest part of it all is that all I want to do is sleep and no matter what kind of medication cocktail I take, I cannot sleep. I feel the depression, but I don't feel like a danger to myself. I just feel like I need some respite.
Have you tried Benadryl? In a pinch most of us use it to make us feel snoozy.
I feel like my head is ready to pop.
Check into the Melatonin. Pdocs have been pushing it lately. I know 3 people that took it and had a horrible time with nightmares!! There's a lot of bad side effects with it. Please be careful.
How about low key music....folk, classical...anything thats mellow. Just get in a snooze position and let it do its work. Open a window so you can get a nice breeze going. Don't "try" to fall asleep, just lay there and think of happy times you've experienced.
