I am obsessing over my Son lately, My Fiance tells me not to worry because he is only 4 years old, but I see a lot of me in his reactions to things.
For example, if his father said no to one things, then David won't do anything and will just sit against a wall and pout.
Anyway Today, he was singing Die Die Die. I was upstair doing my makeup and I asked him who he was talking to and he said himself.
I am so worry about this.

I find myself going places in the car and not wanting to get out of the car. I come back home and I don't want to get out of the car. I think it's the only time I spend reflecting. Chronic tiredness from Long Covid plus the immunosupressing meds for my Crohn's is slowing me down but everything just seems a massive effort. I am dealing with the paperwork following my father's death but it's not...

Wow, it's the middle of the week already!Today is our 11 year anniversary, so we're going out to a nice dinner. I'm losing a lot of sleep these days, hence a wonky schedule and uncomfortable feelings. But I know it will pass, eventually.I hope all of you have a peaceful day, and may good things come your way!

If anything, our worry just facilitates their worry and concern and it does not give them the tools they need to manage their disorder. As a mother it is so normal for you to feel such concern and love but we also have the advantage of helping our children through our own experiences with this disorder.
Work with your son now on how to manage his emotions, behaviors, reactons etc. You can do this calmly and with great success. You have so much more power than you know and you can turn your worry into support and may find that he does no have BP at all....xo
our kids are easy to obsess about. I think it might even be instinct to do so. An instinct that easily boils over to destructive extremes.
If they didn't the human race would not exist. Or primates or many of the mammals.
Many animals don't come into the world fully hard wired with instinct. They learn when young and they generally copy their parents.
And kids copy their friends , what they see on TV and computer games.
I really wouldn't worry.
Does your son spend lots of time playing? I'm not talking about XBOX, but real play involving lots of physical activity e.g. running, hide&go seek, having adventures outside. For some reason physical activity has been nearly erased and then people get confused as to why their children are having behavior problems, so the ADHD label or another is rapidly applied and medication is used. I do understand people's desire to straighten things out with no idea how to do so. I have no idea what his activities involve, but LOADS of physical activity is a now rarely used therapy, but it does really work well, much better than drug therapy for little kids with developing brains.
F12, please don't think that I have passed some sort of judgement, I'm just pointing out a powerful way to deal with his problems now and for the next decade or more if it is put in place and made to happen. It can't hurt to give it a try at least. Drugs are much easier and therefore much more attractive to adults tired from their jobs, but this is your son whom you love dearly.
