Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.
Otherwise, stay on here and I'm sure you'll learn a lot from the posts - even how goofy we can get. Welcome!!
patience with yourself and your care providers, that should work
Take your time and read others posts that interest you, even the funny ones, we all need to laugh. I learned the most by reading other messages than by going to a therapist and a pdoc. I need things explained to me in not such a clinical way.
They will give you meds which will work, then they won't work anymore. So they will increase them which for a while maybe years, will work again.
Then they will add other meds to go with your first meds. And more meds so you can sleep.
Then they will change the meds usually because they don't work anymore. But don't worry if you wonder how many combinations there are it is simple algebra or calculus.
If there are 6 AD (antidepressants) 5 AP(anti psychotics) and 7 MS (mood stabilizers) you either multiply all of them together. 6 X 7 X 5 =210 mixtures.
Or it is 7P! Something like this 7 X 6 X 5 X 4 X 3 X 2 X 1= who the hell cares.
In otherwords there are a lot for many years. Being bp is a great excuse in blaming your mistakes on the fact that you are now legally insane.
