Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.
I don't really know how to describe this in a way that will make sense but I felt like it was worth a shot. Sometimes when my mood is high it becomes too much and my head feels so noisey and loud inside. I know I need to calm down and ground myself but I haven't figured out a good, productive way to do that and I was wondering if anyone had any ideas? I feel like my energy is completely taking me over and it's just too overwhelming. I'm not in a bad mood, I'm just feeling a LOT.

Once again I've had a fever today. I'm not going to the hospital because that's a huge waste of time but I did schedule a dr appointment for Wednesday afternoon.

The grounding technique that seems to always work for me and it takes a few minutes is to go into my most comfortable room and describe it
So I go to my bedroom and lay down and talking the description out loud I describe the comfort of the bed...
All of the furniture.... Colours... bedding.... Art..... lamps etc.... Everything I can see but you have to talk it out loud
Another think that can help is colouring because it uses both sides of your brain
Do you think that you need a med tweek??..... xo
