Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.

Some really great strategies that've made my year way less problematic-
-Let things go
-Stay very busy, like, push your limits on a daily basis
-Get rid of every toxic friend, no matter how few that leaves you with
-Don't even read messages/texts/emails from people who tend to be triggering to you, or typically very problematic
-Don't feel the least bit guilty about ignoring people you're not close with anyway (on DS it's a little different because it's more of a supportive environment, but on facebook, tumblr, twitter, your phone, etc. this applies.)
-Get rid of stubborn bad vibe-giving people
-Accept that people are going to ignore you and not give you the time of day, and they have every right to do this, as do you. Anyone has the right to not pay attention to (or pay attention to, if you rather) anyone.
-Again, STAY BUSY. Certain people are just unbelievably bitter, really. Or unbelievably insensitive and dense. Simple.
Some very cool things I've done
-2 consecutive very long school days without any excess medicine at all
-worked out
-stayed in school all day today, and it's getting easier
What are some of your tips for a great new year (kinda late, February almost I know loool) and some things you've accomplished? c:

Mom and I have errands to run this morning. She said we can get sushi for lunch though. I go back to work today. What are you looking forward to this weekend?

Quick, before the evil MONday gets here! Let's climb those mountains, dance in the meadows, dip our feet in the ocean....Okay, so most of us won't be doing any of That. Sadly. But today can still be a great day!The area behind our back fence is on an incline, with less than two feet on even ground at the top. I don't balance well enough for the incline, but our mower guy mows that...

Let's see...limiting time on Facebook and avoiding the wrong people.
Getting 'involved'...i go to a great art therapy group and it's gotten me into workshops and good stuff and community that gets me through difficult stuff.
Doing some intense work in therapy that makes me feel like I've grown tremendously.
Stopping by here to get support, give support and talk to a great bunch.
Going out dancing every so often....
I need to work out as my weight is pushing Heart Attack territory.
Also, the incident with the car this morning has made me realise I do need to advocate for myself better.
Here's what I've proposed:
-Don't let my paranoia spin out of control (have safety barriers)
-Limit triggers and time on FB
-Spend more time on DS where there is REAL support
-Enjoy and embrace the love and support that my family gives me
-Leave the house once in awhile and feel the sun on my face
-Try to imagine a social situation that won't cause a flush of anxiety
