I've already gotten advice from one of you about this, but I thought I'd just put it out there. Well my friend and I were talking and I was complaining about how I had oversnoozed my nap and was late picking my children up from school. I was really late for my daughter and about 10 min late for my son. I wasn't the only one. The school office was teeming with children whose parents who had forgotten it was an early day.
My friend pipes up and says to me, "I think you forget you're 'challenged'"! And then proceeds to lecture me on the tragedy of my illness. I didn't ask to be born this way, etc. Made me feel belittled. I didn't say anything. Should I? She'll be coming over for my son's B-day party on Sunday. I'm trying to figure out what to say.

Were all of those other parents who were late bipolar, too? No, I didn't think so.
when you do talk to her. explain to her what she said was inappropriate. tell her how it made you feel. and take the advice from the people that have comments before me. good luck!
