I felt that way on some medications, but with my current set, I really do feel like me. I would say keep working with your pdoc to help you get it back.

I have changed but I got really worse before I was medicated so it is hard to know whether the meds changed me or if bipolar changed me.

What is gone and is really alarming is my memory. I make the stupidest mistakes and forget all sorts of things. It is really scary sometimes.

Yes I do and I hated it. I don't like not being me.

I've experienced anger and rigidity but I think those are just external factors that mask but don't eliminate my basic personality.

When I was on my meds definately. My mom said I looked like I was dying, lifeless, dark eyes, etc.... I just exsisted and I don't want to just exhist...

I don't know who me is anymore. I'm trying to write stuff down but I am finding even that very difficult. I can't express myself, can't find the words.....but THIS SUCKS!

I have to say that I feel more like myself when I am medicated and stable. I still have my own personality and when I'm stable, I almost like it. I can cope better. I can't imagine me without my meds.

no, feel like i can be honest, finally told hubby last night about hearing voices in the past, which I had never admitted to anyone else, except here, he knew about nxiety attacks but not the extent of them, i am able to let hime know more of how i feel and be more honest with him now that i am medicated and i do feel more in control and able to be myself

I don't have a personality. My ex-wife got custody of it in the divorce. But she tells me that the meds I'm on at the moment are working a treat.

I think meds definitely have an affect on your personality. But I believe that we are so accustomed to being manic, depressed, mixed or rapid that we associate that as our personality and how we act. I also have been medicated to the point where I experienced what pdco calls "flat" which is medicinally related as well. I explained it to him that I felt as if I was standing outside a window watching life on the other side but unable to pull myself in and participate. Presently, I am experiencing the most stable period of my bipolar life, it may not last forever but trying to enjoy day that I have of it! Keep asking questions, keep searching for answers and never, ever give up!

I don't know what my personality is anymore. What I do know is that I feel more in control of my emotions. I still get triggered and start shaking but over all, I am grateful for the medications. I don't know where I would be without them. Probably locked up in a psych ward...

Naw with or without the meds still a deranged hell raiser that I can honestly say will always be true

I felt that way on effexor, seroquel, and lexapro. My lamictal and ativan doesn't do that to me.
