Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.

I have been suffering from bipolar disorder for many years now. It seems I go through depression more often than I used to. Nearly any kind of stressful experience can put me into depression.
I don't think it is a problem with my medication though. Nearly my whole life is I have experienced traumatic episodes and large amounts of stress.
I don't experience joy or happiness like I used too. I feel tired most of the time. I don't have a lot of motivation and low self esteem.
I don't know how long I can live this way. It is so painful.
I wish I could still work because then I would be earning my own money. It would also make the question, "What do you do?" easier to answer.
I just want a little of my old self back.

Once again I've had a fever today. I'm not going to the hospital because that's a huge waste of time but I did schedule a dr appointment for Wednesday afternoon.

We have to hold hope though, that as more people open up about the difficulties that we can find more supportive people along the path.
Wishing you well.
The thing is, it doesn't hurt to try to get back to better with a med change. Trying is always better than doing nothing.
