Abilify worked great for me. Sadly, I had to go off of it because of cost. I hope it works as well for you.

Abilify works great for me. it is expensive but i get mine through www.canadaddrugpharmacy.com I get 100 disc for 92.00 thats a three month supply, I feel like im in control better when im on it. good luck.

i've not had a mixed ep since i started it 6 months or so

It worked for me, then went off it because I felt like I didn't need it, then went on Geodon two months later. I decided not to go back on Abilify because it's expensive, but it does work really well.

I was on Geodon for a while but it made the corners of my mouth droop. I was drooling!

Liked the way it helped with the moods, etc.....though

Then the Seroquel, which sucked and now, fingers crossed, Abilify!

I loved Abilify, but because of the cost, I had to go off of it. I'm on Haldol and Lithium now.

abilify worked ok for me...it didn't really control any ups or downs, but it hasn't had any bad side effects either and I'm still on it in addition to other meds.
It really helped when I first started taking it. Don't know if I've been much help. Good luck.

I have only been on it for two weeks or so, but I love it. It woke me up from my zyprexa slumber that I was in for over two years. I liked it tho cuz it stopped the voices in my head lol. At least with the Abilify the voices haven't come back. Made me a little too hyper tho so pdoc put me on Seroquel to help me sleep at night. Saw pdoc today and the last two days I've been a little off, tired, listless so she's going to decrease the seroquel for a little bit, may have to go up a little on abilify. Oh the joys of the rollercoaster!!! lol Hope this helps

Glad to hear that it's been working for most of you. ALL of your posts have been helpful! I've read that it can cause some people to have trouble sleeping at night. The pdoc is starting me out slowly, 2mg every other day for 2weeks, then once a day. Which, I have no problem with at all. Thought it was a great idea.

I really think that I've had trouble with many meds, because an old pdoc of mine would put me on such a high starting dose of AP's, or antidepressants. I'd end up vomiting all night, migraines, and like death had warmed over me. That's also when I used to just listen to the pdoc and take what he ordered because I was desperate to feel better. I didn't realize they were such high starting doses until I starting seeing my current pdoc. I'm really glad he and I agree about the lower and gradual starting doses!
