I'm assuming it was my thread of trying to ask for help and instead i got mostly some argument. I guess i need to start a new one asking for help only and no arguing.

FRom my experience I've been hospitalized at age 19 - threat to others/drug-induced psychosis, i self-admitted myself 9 years ago on a monday morning after punching holes in a wall of a rent house the previous weekend in a drunken rage; and in '04 I was escorted by the cops after a shouting match at my son's soccer practice... Note that it was DIFFICULT to GET ADMITTED that middle time when I just calmly walked up and said I had mental/drug/alcohol issues... i did not get a BiPolar 1 DX until th elast time... Oh by the way -- who won the earlier thread?

Happy definitely did not win. Sad.

well I think that for someone to be committed they have to at least APPEAR to be a threat to themselves or others

Abraxas, I wish I had called the cops on him. He did punch walls and screamed all the time with me. The last time was 4 weeks ago maybe 5 when he was upset about losing his motorcycle he bought duyring his mania b/c we are filing banckrupcy. It's like everything was gone in 4 months. My marraige, our money, my kids father. Everything.

Jenmcd~ I did get it and thank you for all the effort you put into it. I wish I had had the courage to call them myself during all of this, but I was hurting so much from the affair i just figured it was his true feelings for me that he didnt love me and not the mania. I know better now, but I think its too late.
