Is there such a thing as a holistic pdoc?
My aunt is trying to help me out since they know I'm in rough shape with my Fibromyalgia and BP and has been trying to get me to go to holistic specials for my FM and said that some of them treat physical and mental ailments. If they try to tell me that a spinal alignment and a gluten-free diet will cure me, I think I might just explode.
I wrote a long post in the FM forum and when I hit send, DS errorred out and I lost it all. I was pissed and wanted nothing more than to just rake razor blades across my wrists but that could just be because I've felt extra suicidal lately.
I decided to just post here instead. FM feels like it is going to kill me but it's the BP that might actually succeed.

I find myself going places in the car and not wanting to get out of the car. I come back home and I don't want to get out of the car. I think it's the only time I spend reflecting. Chronic tiredness from Long Covid plus the immunosupressing meds for my Crohn's is slowing me down but everything just seems a massive effort. I am dealing with the paperwork following my father's death but it's not...

Wow, it's the middle of the week already!Today is our 11 year anniversary, so we're going out to a nice dinner. I'm losing a lot of sleep these days, hence a wonky schedule and uncomfortable feelings. But I know it will pass, eventually.I hope all of you have a peaceful day, and may good things come your way!

But I'd really recommend that you go down the conventional med route for BP - then add to that other holistic techniques, meditation etc (actually you might want to look at this group refered to in this post
http://www.dailystrength.org/c/Bipolar_Disorder/forum/14425605-new-group-repost )
- but avoiding any herbal meds that might conflict with the normal meds.
For the Fibro I don't know.
To answer your question Yes, there is Holistic Psychiatrist out there, whether or not you have one in your area I do not know. You can use your Goggle search (or what ever search engine you use to find one in your area).
I will offer one word of warning however, though Holistic medicine is an ancient art it is still relatively new in modern medicine.
There are those out there that will try to take advantage of that, cons, phoney's and snake oil sales men.
If this is a serious option that you are looking into, I strongly suggest research, research, research before choosing a Dr. Also trust your instincts if what the person is telling you feels to good to be true, it usually is. If you get the impression that the person is a whack job, the they probably are and you need to run not walk out of their office.
I am not trying to discourage your taking this route, there are very good genuine Holistic Doctors out there, you just need to RESEARCH.
So, looking and trying is important, I think remember "no pain, is too great it can't be lessen"... Do not suffer, more than you have too....
LOL, I think of a headache, would I want to schedule, try with meditation, bath etc--- then an appt, with acupuncture, go buy different food in my fridge, or take the Tylenol in the drawer?
(((BIG HUG))) Wishing you comfort and relief ASAP!!!! What ever WORKS for you, is the right choice : )
Is there a difference between holistic and naturopathic?
I'm so sorry your Fibromyalgia is torturing you. I hope you find relief soon.
