So I just moved to Georgia last Monday with my girlfriend and her mom they are from here,I left everyone and everything I know to a new town .I am un emplyoled and feeling vulnerable my gf got her job back and now im alone all the time granted her mom is here I still feel alone I left my therapist that i knew for two years who was helping me along with my "issues".I dropped charges on this asshole that hurt me growing up it wasnt going anywhere and i didnt want to have to go back to texas alone to finish the case ,I feel stupid for that in reality i was scared. Im a scared little wimp. I still see his face before I go to sleep and I feel him sometimes.I told myself I would forget him when we moved but the truth is obviously I havent , I cant handle this anymore, I cant handle him even though he is thousand of miles away he is still in my head.Ive been struggling not to hurt myself becuase i feel so guilty not putting him away and guilty for leaving my sister to deal with my mom alone.I just want to punish myself. but i also want to be happy and start my new life.
Can you talk to you girlfriend about it? Reach out to those you do trust. I've never been abused but I've worked with survivors. Please get help and talk to those you can in your real life. And of course you can come here anytime. I hope I helped. HUGS.
Find another therapist you will need another pdoc and take that love you have for your girlfriend to make a better life for her and yourself.
If you can pray for the asshole ,it does help.
