Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.

Yup, mania is, indeed, addictive. To think. . . Some people need pharmaceuticals to feel this. . . The coming down as hard as I went up, etc., bites the big one, though.
The calmer activities I use to fill the slower pace may not be as exciting, but they are allot more productive with allot less collateral damage.
But that is me. . .
Looking forward to learning yours. Welcome to DS.
You can still find excitement in life and joy in other ways

If you find and tell me what normal is supposed to be, I'll tell you how many times I've been there.
If you mean stable, that's something altogether different
Boredom. Find some creative outlets. Draw, paint, color adult coloring books (I've seen a kama sutra one even). Join a gym. Exercise. Find new ways to eat healthy. Meditate. Learn about what you really do want from life, your beliefs, and what your heart tells you it's the right thing.
Keep us posted please

Boredom is a whole different story, though. If nothing else, the world of child sex trafficking is quite ? ? ? exciting? ? ? chaotic? ? ? unpredictable? ? ? unstable? The cheaper the thrill, the more alluring. Somewhere in the 80's I started treating my personal boredom like a psycho flag; a front line indicator that I am in danger of a manic episode. I therapute my way through ^it^ pretty quickly these days. The calmer interests are far more productive by my personal measure.
I am attending both an NA meeting and a creative writing class today. I am really trying to do this. i could easily get back on my add meds, but I want to rise above even that.
I am still new to the boards so pardon me for not reaching out directly to anyone else yet.
