HELP! I ran out of meds. pdoc out of town!

I phoned in a refill 2 days ago and I called the rx to see if it was ready. they said they are still waiting for my pdoc to give authorization. I called my pdoc's office and they said she was out of town until monday. they said they would try get a hold of her so she could phone in a script but I'm not holding my breath. What do I do if in the meantime? I'm going crazy!

That sucks. I've had it happen. Just try to stay calm. Occupy your mind. Read or something. I'm not good with advice but I know what you're going through with the pharmacy and the doctor not having their shit together and you're just stuck like "what the hell?" Just rest if you can. That's all I could do. I had to take time out of classes and work and just lay around drawing and reading, just trying not to think about a thing.

And just a thought, if pot doesn't make you paranoid or anything it'll take the edge off.

don't fret yet. I think the doctors office will get right on it if they know ur out. if not, keep callin, keep callin !!!!

Ask the pharmacist if they can give u a few pills to hold you over until your pdoc can authorize the meds. Hope this works. hugs, tedi

Contact the pharmacy and see if they can give you a few pills to hold you over until the prescription comes in.

If not CALL CALL CALL. Someone else should be able to call in the prescription if your doctor isn't around.

my pharmacy will give a couple days to hold over .......if they cant try your PCP perhaps they could call your pdocs office and confirm everything and do a script for a week or so


and not a popular solution but if all else fails your local er should be able to accommodate you. when our community clinic changed hands many people had to go that route because the new clinic was not opening and making apts before they ran out of meds.
