I actually like to be called crazy. I think of it as a compliment. Now if I were to be called normal- man that would really hurt!

Geez, if that girl is your best friend....you might want to look for a new best friend.

Letting her boyfriend call her best friend "crazy", and not letting her hang out with you is suspiciously contolling. If she's really your best friend, have a heart to heart with HER. Let her know that he hurts you with his words, and that you miss her and want to spend time with her.

If she won't do that, you might just have to avoid her. Either that or bitch-slap that ignorant jerk.

Anyone who call's us "CRAZY", well they are just plain ignorant! Crazy we are not, a little mixed up, forgetfull, almost alway's late and many other thing's,but not crazy! Be thankfull that it was just a one nighter and don't let foolish people who don't understand hurt you! They are not worth your time.

my ex husband used to call me crazy cause he knew it was the one thing he could say to hurt me! were not crazy we just have some problems others dont! this guy sounds like a real jerk! he is not worth stressing over! he sounds like a control freak! im sorry you lost your friend over it but if she is your real friend she will be there for you! people can be so mean! that old saying :sticks and stones will break your bones but names will never hurt you is bullshit! words hurt more than physical abuse! i would rather be hit any day than be put down by someone. im very spiteful so i would find ways to hurt him but thats not the right thing to do. just thinking, maybe he feels threatened by you? maybe he worries that you will tell your best mate how c##p he is in bed or how small he is :))men sometimes have such fragile egos, take it as a compliment that his unsecurity is inpacting his life, dont let it impact yours - i would tell your friend that you value your friendship and dont want to loose it but this 'man' is putting stress in your relationship and your sure she will understand but you find his comments insulting and dont want to mix with him, you are intitled to set your own boundries to live by - dont let others dictate how you have live by theres.

I am fed up with people treating beepers like we are less human. Do diabetics get treated like they have low blood sugar on purpose?? No...sure they can control what they eat, but not how their body processes that sugar/carb. Just like Beepers can control how much sleep we try to get and how much caffeine/alcohol we consume, but we cannot control how our brain decides to process chemicals from day to day. I continually struggle with people who feel that BP is a matter of "trying hard enough." My ex-boss always accused me of not trying hard enough, yet she would never read up on info I gave her to understand what BP was. She was mentally unstable herself. I wish for one depressed day that she could have lived in my shoes!! To even get out of bed somedays was a trial by fire! Yet she was a self professed "open minded, tolerant individual"...hypocrite!

My parents are still in denial, even though 2 of my aunts are BP. It's obvious to me there are similar behaviors present, yet to them...the behavior is not chemically related!! How thick can people be? Wouldn't you think a parent would be happy to find out the reason for otherwise unexplained erratic behavior? Why does everyone want to believe that we are just "bad people"?

People believe in things like God, aliens and quantum physics...why is it hard to believe that bipolar exists?

Thank your lucky stars that it was a one night stand, and you didn't get caught up in his controlling behaviors. Hard enough to live with BP at times. Your so called girlfriend, well sorry but I would cut my losses there too. Any one who would allow someone else tell them who they can and can't spend time with, isn't really strong enough to help you in a your time of need. May hurt now, but it would hurt more if she went running scared when you needed her the most.

I'm called crazy all the time, and I'm not the one in my house with BP! Thats my 8 yr old son, and maybe my hubby although not Dx. Even "normal" people have their times when they are a bit Crazy. That's what keeps life intresting. We are not robots.
