Ever since I stopped doing therapy because of insurance, I've been feeling that old tense and irritable sense of anxiety and stress. I hate that. Why are you so upset?
The support you need now, could be as simple as a prn, called into your pharmacy, prior to your regular apt on 20th,
Anger like every other emotion has to come out, and there are safe ways to let it do so. If getting a punching bag of some sort is not feasible, get a large firm pillow and use it. Beat the hell out of that pillow and let all of your energy out into it, screaming at it while hitting it can also be a release.
Trying to hold the Anger in and rationalize it away, probably won't work, and you may not always know what sets it off. But you can figure out ways to displace it safely and constructively.
My now ex-husband suffered a Traumatic Brain Injury 22 years ago, and we had to deal with this, he would just burst into anger borderline on rage out of the blue and his NeuroPsych Therapist came up with these ways to let the anger out safely.
Anger is energy, and it easily manifests itself in a physical sense. So you can use a physical action to let it out.
Take care,
Kat
Big hug.... I'm glad that you're feeling a little better.....xo
