I detoxed 2yrs ago due to building a tolerance. I will never do benzo's again due to that and the detox was horrific !

I won't scare you with my experience. I had to start taking them again but I only do when I have to so to say that I got the perscription filled in march and i still have them tells you how not so often I take them. Won't go thru that again.......

I did but I did it in a hospital setting where it was very well calculated and they gave me other medicines to prevent withdrawal symptoms. I did pretty well, no horror stories to tell.

I detox'd about four and a half years ago when I found out I was pregnant with my son. Went from taking 6mg a day to nothing. Had hard time, but made it through. You can do what you have to do, Tats. I got faith in ya. Hugs.

I've been taking klonopin for just over about 10 years now. Been experiencing alot of anxiety and panic with no major life events, etc going on.

Both my counselors have brought up detox to me, from what I've read it can be horrible.

How long is a typical detox from benzo's?? Anyone?

yes. fairly recently.
i found that my sleep was destroyed for several months, and i either had nightmares or took hours to fall asleep and random anxiety attacks at bedtime.
the thing with me is, i never got a buzz or anything on them; i'd take it, and go to sleep. simple.
so for me about 8 weeks of detox start to finish, on my own.

It took me a good three weeks to get over the little quirky things like wanting to step backward to sit on toilet and instead I would step forward and have to try it again. That was kinda comical. Like Mr. Man said it destroys the sleep for a while even if you couldn't tell that much difference when you took them. You can do it though. I'm rootin for ya!!

Cut back real slowly even to the point of cutting pills in halfs and forths.
