I never actually took any experimental meds...I was on a program where a panel of Pdocs interviewed me on my reaction to different meds.

I was not paid.

Personally, I'd feel a little leery about experimental meds....some of that stuff can be dangerous !

To clarify...I was taking meds that were already in use and had been around for a while

I haven't but I feel like that every time we switch meds because we haven't found the right one yet. Good Luck and be careful.

right now im not taking bp meds...i should cuz my bp is kinda severe my pdoc says.....lol my body is too attrocious to me a stripper haha Hvn:) yeah ive been in that trial and error thing with my pdoc lol...ive been on risperdal, abilify, depakote, geodon, lamictal (that was until i got out of ip) and wellbutrin lol so i figured whats the different with being in a trial ..ill get paid for it.

btw all those meds i listed...i didnt take em all at the same time lol...i took combinations of two or three

Not for BP meds no but as a child I was guinea pig for growth hormones - they didnnt work and now I truly wonder if some of what they gave me back then isnt partially to blame for my physical problems today

itzjustme, What have you got to lose? I would try it out. You already see a pdoc. he can monitor your mental part, Go for it!

Yes - I have been part of several studies, but I have never been part of a study that involves medication. I have been part of studies that involve different types of therapy though. It's been helpful to me.

Ive Been In The Program Before Theres Nothing Wrong With It.. But Don't Say That Your Suicidal Or Anything Or Act Up While Your In The Program Or You Will Get Dropped Like A Hot Cake.... And They Didnt Pay Me All That Much...

It really depends on what stage the drug trial is at. the more studies they have already done on it, the safer it will be. If the aim of the trial is to assess its safety in humans I would say no way.

Best case, it could work and lift your symptoms, or it could do nothing.

Worst case, you could get awful side affects that could permanently harm you or kill you.
