Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.

I'm somewhat depressed, but somewhat energized and very irritable. I take 100 mg of Lamictal, Prozac, Trazodone, prazosin and xanix when I need it. I see my pdoc Wednesday. I think I need a medication adjustment. Has anyone else felt like this? It feels very miserable.

I have felt like that many times. I consider feeling like that to be a mixed state - feeling depressed and manicky at the same time.

I feel that way often. I take 400mg of Lamictal. Doesn't help my mix state. I hope something works for you.

Thanks, I hope something helps. But as they say, this too shall pass. It's just very uncomfortable. No where near as bad as major depression.

i wonder what not being depressed feels like

I have a lot of issues besides bipolar and it makes me feel so messed up and it's hard to understand what is causing what. I have numerous physical diseases, coronary artery disease, diabetes and kidney disease to name a few there are more. I have 2 amputations, my wife passed away 1 and 1/2 years ago and I'm an incest survivor. I've been diagnosed with PTSD, DID and Bipolar 2. I manage to work full time, but it's hard. I go to an in person support group and my ride will not be able to take me tomorrow. I can't drive because of the amputations. No I'm feeling angry and I want to hurt myself. I'm not trying to complain, but I sometimes get overwhelmed with it all.

I wish I could bury that irretability deep underground. So deep it would never come back.. But it does.

I have felt like that more times than I even want to try to count. They come together or separate or one after the other or even a couple days apart. It's just irritating in itself to be unable to know what you're going to feel like next. One day depressed, not wanting to move, the next jumping up and down with energy. When you find the right medication combination, you will know. You will meet a you that you've never met before, and it will be wonderful. Stay strong and don't give up!

yep, happens to me with some regularity, usually when i'm lifting up from a deeply depressed stage and get that mix of; some motivation is back so want to do stuff + still mildly depressed so not enough brain speed and focus to do stuff = frustrated, which is what i put it down to and wait it out. its so hard to find the right medication for your individual condition that its important to not mess with it for normal emotions (regardless of how annoying). always good to chat about concerns with your pdoc though
