Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.

I'm going through a weird episode (not stable) and in 20+ years on meds and dx, this is diffrent, weird but as always dibilatating.
I can't function - I sit in my room most the time, I do errands or help others with no issue - but help myself I'm paraylized.
The WEIRD thing - I have a good attitude! My body and mind scream NO to vaccumme and yet I still smile, joke, just a calm attitude. Thankfully this attitude helps me with acceptance and new coping skills - like everytime a bad memory comes up I now chant "No Regrets" and it has helped. Where do all the bad thoughts come from? Oh Bipolar = a sick brain.
Anyone else crippled with a good attitude?

Once again I've had a fever today. I'm not going to the hospital because that's a huge waste of time but I did schedule a dr appointment for Wednesday afternoon.

I'm not cheerful and definitely not happy or stable.....
I just have a weird calm...........its been years since I had a manic, long enough I don't focus on the bad things I did LOL Just that ENERGY!!!!! Good thing I'm med compliant (wanting to be my best) because if I wasn't, I"d be jacking meds left and right to try and cause one.
Although my attitude is generally good I have a time completing things that really need to get done. I do it but slowly....maybe a little too slowly.
The sort of fake it til you make it becomes ingrained and I'm glad it is....
I think when we're struggling our thinking becomes skewed however I'm glad that you're here and hanging on....
Big squishy hug.....xo
