Yes so I got to my pdoc to day by some kind of miracle as the unverse was against me today. (I had a very busy yet stressful day that I won't be going into detail about)
But never the less I got there
So now my pdoc never ceses to amaze me. She knows that I can't take antipsychotics yet she goes on ahead and perscribes one for me any how. Not only is this an antipsychotic but it's incredibly new! Which will most likely not be covered by gate way any how! But she gave me a voucher so I would get a free sample and be recorded in the system as having a perscription made for it so she could get it overrided porividing it works. (this also lead to another fiasco but I won't bother getting into it as it is long and complicated and I'm just glad it's all over now)
She also then goes on to tell me that it won't cause weight gain. !!????
So far every thing she has said didn't cause weight gain it always lists weight gain as a side effect. I wonder if she really even knows at this point. It's no wonder I haven't been getting help all these years seriously. But I need to take it with a small snack around 300 calories. (really just a snack with only 300 calories? but not just a regular meal so I don't need a snack in the first place? That surely won't be causing any weight gain!) Sorry for the sarcasm but it's been one of those days. Really at this point I was so desperate for help she could of said it was rat poison shit I would have tried it any way as I am desperate to sleep and not feel psychotic. Seriously I was thinking about by passing her and going straight to the ER all through out the day already. But I do want to see my kids over easter so I'm trying to hold out for a med that works
any how not only that but I also told her about my period from hell that has lasted three weeks now and has shown no signs that it is every stopping. (I have a reason for mentioning this or believe that I wouldn't mention it). But she does say that if I can't get in with my GP right away about this to go to the ER. (good enough) Also I mentioned that this is the first period I've had since before november (also there is a reason I am mentioning this.) I also told her that I thought that is what was interfering with the meds but I'm not sure if she really heard that part.
Ok so once I get home and read the pamphlet that describes the side effects not only IS weight gain listed there but many other serious things that pertain to me as well. Like that it can cause blood suger problems, Low blood pressure dizzyness (unwanted breast milk?????? I never heard that one before!) All kinds of movement problems like twitching, mouth smacking (there are just too many to list) basically any thing that is likely to both anoy others while making you appear to be bat shit crazier that you all ready to on any other day.
And some times it might be perminant! (that's great news since I already have those symptoms from most of the meds that cause them in the past.) Still these are not unusual to see listed as side effects but ok this many for real?
But now here's the part that makes me think my quack needs a quack!
Missed periods or period irregularity!? Some thing I have clearly demonstrated is already a problem for me! now you want to give me a med that lists it as a side effect? Which will make it impossible to find a cause of the problem later?
Really did she even read about it's side effects at all?
any how I also want to know who the heck named this drug?!
Latuda it freaking sounds like a made up drug for a comedy gag! I'd probably apply it to some kind of gassy side effect for that is what it makes me think of when I hear it's name uttered! LMAO
I just hope it doesn't also add any stench to the gas in question!
But never the less I got there

Due to my increased paranoia, anxiety, and a panic attack over the weekend, my psychiatrist has put me back in a full dose of Zyprexa until further notice. Every time I think I'm getting ahead something happens and it's back to square one. I knew he was gonna do this but I can't help feeling disappointed. It is what it is.

Well, good morning to you!Today is National Roller Coaster Day. Are any of you going? It's also National Tell-A-Joke Day! Come up with some and share!I'm not bright with jokes these days, but I'll start:"Today I ordered a chicken and an egg from Amazon...I'll let you know." :D

Im afraid "ALL" meds have side effects often that can be serious.. between the devil and the deep blue sea..x
Still every time she says something doesn't cause weight gain then you can guarantee that it does. Also I could under stand if it had said weight gain or loss. But it only says weight.
Since I do have a weight problem I"m pretty sure the side affect of weight gain will be the side effect expirienced. Also I am already very nearly 300lbs. I really can't even take a risk like that any more.
Also She just took me off the concerta since my complaint was insomnia so it obviously gets tossed. Even though I will more than likely need it when my hormones go back to normal assuming this period ever ends. It was hard enough for me to convince her to give it too me in the first place she probably wont be convinced to give it too me again. Also it was helping control my weight a little bit. But I do admit I have a butt load of concerta left over right now as I have not been taking it since I stopped sleeping.
I am really unhappy for you.
You deserve better.
hugs to you
