Had to do something extremely difficult

I am an absolute animal lover and I respect all life, This afternoon we found a young squirrel that had broken it's back and I had to shoot it and put it out of it's misery.

Even though I know that I did the most humane thing for the squirrel and that I save it a lot of suffering it still hurts a great deal that I had to take it's life.

Just having a tough time coping.

Oh wiccan! How painful it must have been to shoot the poor wee thing. You know it had no chance at life and you put it out of its misery of starving to death or being attacked.

You were so brave and strong to be able to do what you did. thankyou.

I am so sorry you had to do this. But it would have died a long and painful death, or maybe gotten eaten by a wild animal.

Sometimes we are called on to be a hero. i think that is what you were today for that poor, little squirrel.

That was a very humane and brave thing to do. The greatest gift of love you can give someone or something is to let them go when it's time.

I can imagine how painful it is, but know you did the right thing.

I'm so sorry you're hurting W.. I am so like you in this way.. I don't even kill bugs..
Allowing yourself to suffer instead of the wee creature is a very giving thing to do

Too bad my daughter wasn't there!!!!

She's GREAT at killing things -- when they need killing!!!

Most of the time, if something was suffering in a way that was only going to end in death anyway, we'd call her to do it, LOLOL!!!!

I can do it too, though. I don't like the act of killing itself, but I'm pretty pragmatic and have no qualms at all about putting something out of its misery!!!

I guess you'll just have to feel bad about it until you don't feel bad about it any more!
The important thing is that the animal was put out of its suffering!!!

    Once again I've had a fever today. I'm not going to the hospital because that's a huge waste of time but I did schedule a dr appointment for Wednesday afternoon.
