Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.
I don't know....getting older has meant I now try to Face my fears rather than trying to run from them.
And I don't worry as much about what people Think of me anymore, because I'm just an old lady - who cares? lol
Like you, I've given up on trying to handle everything Right Away, because it just Doesn't Have to be. (and it now makes me too nervous!)
It's funny - I know now what people mean about the difference between caring for their children and for their Grandchildren. I don't have grandchildren yet (and thankful for it, for my son's sake) - but if I Did have to raise another child I would be Such a different parent. Much more relaxed, lol.
...But 'childish things'? Being old and decrepit now (feels like it!), I think I'll keep as Many childish ideas (and even some actions) as I can! Keeps me young(er).
:)
- people - they can suddenly disappear for good
- the commonplace - I'm getting back a sense of wonder even with the familiar. Celebrate the sparrows!
- my health.
They can't HEAR me?!!!
Well ....... shit.
Boy. Now I feel pretty, fucking stupid.
I've stopped taking my health for granted. My aging body has been slowly deteriorating whether or not I believed it. So I've begun exercising to grow stronger and slow down the process.
I try not to hold on to anger or hurt feelings. In the whole scheme of things most things aren't worth being that upset over. And my being upset only hurts me, not them. Bad feelings are self destructive. Making peace where possible is healthier. Everyone is entitled to their opinion even if I don't like it. I've learned to agree to disagree.
Hugs ?:)
I refuse - you hear me? - REFUSE to give up my high heels and shorts. (I'm probably older but less decrepit than you.)
Granted, things are more difficult when you can't find them or see them. You just have to plow onward, whether you can see or not.
I am the young lady at the Piggly Wiggly click click clicking away in my high heels (my work IS important),
running over the displays (Not my fault! If the displays don't like my driving they should get out of the middle of the aisle.)
driving my cart too fast (and getting overly annoyed),
then flirting with the manager (and getting happy again),
and onward and so forth and blah blah blah until the sun goes down.
Try it. Don a pair of strappy heels and THEN go about your day. Something about the click is empowering.
I don't have a computer. I just ring up DS and dictate a message to them. They then put it on "the internet".
I understand the "internet" now has over 20 pages. Must be difficult to find things.

(The curse of having only 10 fingers and 10 toes, LOL!!!!)
It's my life, I have only to answer to me.
